Saturday morning dawned on Readers Studio, and I decided to forego the breakfast roundtable in favor of being well-rested for Theresa’s Master Class presentation, “How To Read Tarot Under Any Circumstance” (if you couldn’t be there for her class, feel free to buy her e-book on the subject here… it’s well worth it!).
Theresa certainly walked her walk during her talk, and delivered a wonderful presentation to a standing ovation. You can be sure I’m using some of her tips when dealing with difficult people in general (because all my clients are gems, of course!).
After Theresa’s class, it was time for the lunch break before heading back into the conference for the final Master Class of Readers Studio with Carrie Paris.
I was too busy taking notes and soul-gazing to actually take a picture of Carrie up on stage! Carrie’s presentation included so many great thoughts and insights. What especially struck me was what she said on checking up on your stuff: is the story that you are telling yours? Is the question you are asking the cards yours, or ancestral, or from your family (or even what your family expects of you)? Whoa. Do a gut-check, and ask yourself those questions again. Deep, right?
We were asked to create a poem based on both a card we pulled, a charm we picked “randomly” (things are usually not random), and bits of words provided. This is the poem I wrote for the 2 of Cups reversed:
Respect water’s passion,
a goal with water’s soul.
Denied bonds
denied goals.
crack open
so that water can heal
tears seal the tear.
Basically, it’s time to be more compassionate and patient with myself… and heal the things I need to in my own time frame. Okay, tarot… I get it!
What really impressed me about this year’s Master Classes is that they all magically flowed into one another and worked very well as a cohesive whole. And, this wasn’t planned at all; there was no communication between the Master Class presenters beforehand to facilitate the joined purposes of each of their classes… it was all magical synchronicity! (Don’t you just love when that happens?)
After Carrie’s class, there was a bit of time to go back up to my room and get myself ready for the fancy evening banquet. I dolled myself up in my favorite Little Black Dress and headed back down for an excellent meal and good conversation with Courtney Weber and Heatherleigh Navarre of the Boston Tea Room (located in Detroit). There was entertainment from Nancy Antenucci, Rhonda Lund, and Dan Pelletier and later, a full-on rave dance party complete with music and glowsticks!
A few obligatory pictures provided below… but what happens at Readers Studio STAYS at Readers Studio!

After “closing out the club,” it was time to get myself to bed. The final day of Readers Studio was still to come, and I won’t lie that I was asleep as fast as my head hit the pillow!
Day 3’s update to come!
Blessings,
