Getting back in the saddle: a 1/2 year evaluation and time to course-correct

We’re halfway through the year (can you believe it?)… and how have YOU been spending it so far?

Me, I’m realizing that I have gone far, far, far off from the daily habits and routines that helped me to feel centered, secure, happy, and healthy. Drat. I’ve gone from my healthiest and in the best shape of my life to the absolute worst, and while I’d like to blame a happy marriage for that solely, I can’t. If I want someone to blame, I need to look no further than the mirror!

It’s times like this that I need to take my own (annoyingly true) advice. In that spirit, I’m looking back at every smarmy blog post I ever wrote about structuring good habits… and then taking the damn advice that past-smart-Hilary gave without argument or complaint (okay, there will probably be SOME complaining!).

Some links:

Lessons from Boy Meets World – because sometimes we need advice from Mr. Feeney to keep us on-track.

What a Tarot Reader Does When They’ve Had a Crap Day – lots of good advice here, a list of all the things you can do when you’re feeling “not okay”

Excuses, Excuses: Why Your Tarot Business Won’t Work If You Don’t – can the excuses, and just do the damn thing

A Tarot Bitchslap – I remind my clients time and time again, either via their readings or the free card of the day I do daily, that they cannot serve from a state of depletion; they can only serve from their fullness. If they are feeling depleted, drained, or otherwise “off”, it is better to root down to the source of this leak, and fix it, instead of proceeding and doing subpar work.

An update & a surprise to help you start 2017 with a bang! – when it boils down to it, I’m feeling STUCK. Fortunately, I wrote a guide to getting unstuck, and it’s free to download! Go get it!

Not thrilled with what you are offering? Neither are your clients –  if you’re bored with something, maybe you should be listening to that voice of boredom… and not do that thing anymore. Find something you’re NOT bored with instead, and do that thing.

Productivity tools from a part-time tarot reader – I’m not going to lie: having a full time job AND running your own business is HARD. Here’s how I get it all done.

Mind Your Mind, or Why You’re NOT Doing Meditation “Wrong” – From meditation missionary to meditation enthusiast… I’m here to assure you, no, you’re not meditating “wrong.”

Behind the Scenes: A Day in the Life of a Tarot Reader – Sometimes looking back is the way to move forward (or course-correct). Right now i’m looking back longingly at this post, when I seemed to have a rockin’ daily schedule together of meditation, writing, editing, and readings. I need to get back to this state, because it made me happy AND super-productive!

Blessings,
