Picture this: never wanting to go on vacation, because you’re always in exotic locales. Or even going on vacation, but putting a call out online that you will be in City X for a number of days, and even before you arrive having client appointments in that city. These are just some of my little daydreams when I think about the ideal lifestyle/business situation.
I don’t consider myself a workaholic, but I do find myself thinking about my clients and making sure they’re well taken care of, even during my off hours. How I can better serve them, and how I can better serve myself so that they are getting the best of me every time I sit down with them for a reading. New spreads, new ways of looking at the cards, what will work for them, and what won’t. I love the idea of being able to serve clients by giving email readings… there’s such a freedom in that, both for me and for the client! I also don’t think I could ever give up phone readings, or seeing clients face to face. Yes, energy is energy and ultimately when I’m reading tarot I’m reading the energy of the person and their situation, and it’s not necessary for the person to be sitting in front of me… but I do enjoy the human connection when a client is local.
The timing of today’s challenge is very fitting. This year I happen to not be going on an official vacation, but I am looking to make plans for 2015 to go to Anaheim for the next Star Wars Celebration. If you are a regular reader to my blog, you’ll know that I pretty much got engaged last year during Star Wars Celebration VI. As I’m starting to make plans for the 2015 trip, I’m thinking of making myself available to tarot clients in the Anaheim area during those days… for while I AM going there on “vacation”, who’s to say that I can’t see clients or get a little work done while I’m there? This idea really excites me!
