I have always found that cleaning, doing yoga, exercise, and meditation have been Queen of Pentacles activities. Why? When I see the Queen of Pentacles, I think of the suit that rules this Queen and its elemental association: earth. Anything activity that puts you firmly back into your body is a Queen of Pentacles action.
Last year my doctor said that I needed to lose weight. This isn’t something that I was surprised to hear. What I was surprised to hear was how much weight I had to lose…
Basically, my doctor didn’t even want to tell me a number so that I wouldn’t get discouraged before I even started the weight loss process! I was able to tease the information out of her, and discovered that I have to lose around 30 pounds. No wonder she wasn’t saying anything!
I channeled the Queen of Pentacles to get back into my body. I joined a gym.
I also didn’t go to the gym, nor did I change my eating habits, nor did I purchase a scale.
…and the months dragged on, with no change.
I realized that I wasn’t channeling the Queen of Pentacles anymore. I was channeling the Queen of Couch Potatoes.
Maybe the Queen of Pentacles wasn’t the right energy to channel into my lifestyle change.
Instead the Queen of Wands was knocking at my door, practically BEGGING ME to take action. Besides getting back to the gym, she was urging me to invest in my health in the same way that I invested in my business.
Not only did I resume going to the gym, I also joined noom.com (I promise, I am not getting any kickbacks in saying this).
My point? Sometimes another tarot card comes up to tell you you’re being a dumbass, and to work with their energy instead to get you where you want to go. So thanks, Queen of Fire, for setting my ass straight: and kicking it, to boot!
Blessings,
