I’m Hilary Parry Haggerty, and I’m a tarot reader. I believe in interactivity, tough love, and a no-nonsense approach. I do tell it like it is. I am simply the girl next door... that reads tarot.

You wouldn’t make a major decision in your life without consulting a few of your trusted friends for advice, would you? Probably not. Sometimes you need someone with more objectivity. I offer that objectivity, and then some, with my tarot readings.

I am based out of Westchester County, New York. In-person readings have been suspended in light of the global pandemic, but previous to that in-person readings were located in the Westchester area and the tri-state area of New York. For in-person readings, I do not have a home office (yes, I make housecalls!) and readings are by appointment only. If you are not in the area, readings are also available through phone, Skype, and e-mail. I serve clients in Australia and Riyadh as well as in the United States and Canada. Isn't technology wonderful?

How I create my channeled messages

Sometimes, my channeled messages are received like this:

My husband plays darts on Tuesday nights in our hometown. I walked over there with him so that I could get in my step count (over 10,000 steps that day, so yay!). On the walk home, I was struck with another of what I call “channeled messages”: messages that come to me while I am walking in nature without headphones or anything else to distract me, or doing the dishes, or meditating, or taking a shower, or at the shore looking out to the horizon over ocean waves.

I pulled over and sat down on a bench to create a social media image for it to make sure that I didn’t lose the message. And I didn’t. I sent it out, and it always seems to resonate with people, so I’m going to keep doing it until it doesn’t. What I do at a psychic faire: use all I’ve got

This weekend, I did my first ever psychic faire. I know, I know, you’ve been in the tarot business for how many years, and this was your first psychic faire? Yup, it’s true. My friend Jenna “Queen of Wands” Matlin will be ashamed of me.

My forever-on-my-ass biz mentor Theresa Reed calls psychic faires or parties a “psychic gangbang.” For her, this kind of energy is just not her jam and she doesn’t do ‘em. And that’s cool. To each our own, as the wise ones say.

I THRIVED on this energy. Loved it. Got a little jealous and down in the dumps when I saw tons of people booked for one person while my client seat was empty, but reminded myself that some people there have a following there or local clients. Yes, I compared myself to the other readers there (hey, I’m human), but the butterflies in my stomach (it happens for every new client, like the energy of a first date) disappeared once the client’s butt was in my chair and the cards were shuffled. And once one person took a chance on an unknown kid (comment below if you get that reference), I didn’t have a break until it was closing time. Sweet!
