I’m Hilary Parry Haggerty, and I’m a tarot reader. I believe in interactivity, tough love, and a no-nonsense approach. I do tell it like it is. I am simply the girl next door... that reads tarot.

You wouldn’t make a major decision in your life without consulting a few of your trusted friends for advice, would you? Probably not. Sometimes you need someone with more objectivity. I offer that objectivity, and then some, with my tarot readings.

I am based out of Westchester County, New York. In-person readings have been suspended in light of the global pandemic, but previous to that in-person readings were located in the Westchester area and the tri-state area of New York. For in-person readings, I do not have a home office (yes, I make housecalls!) and readings are by appointment only. If you are not in the area, readings are also available through phone, Skype, and e-mail. I serve clients in Australia and Riyadh as well as in the United States and Canada. Isn't technology wonderful?

Want to know more about me? See my About Me page.

Want a reading? Visit my Purchase a Reading page.

I read tarot like I write. And where I write about tarot is at my tarot blog.

Any lingering questions? The best way to reach me is via e-mail.

On select Fridays, I’ll be posting a few links that are currently rocking my world.

I know it’s a totally weird thing to love, but I LOVE going to get my eyebrows done. Yeah, I know I shouldn’t look forward to someone ripping hair out of my face, but I find it ultimately refreshing and soothing to my nerves… Maybe not during, but afterward when they apply some aloe and I have two eyebrows again. I feel like a good eyebrow person in your back pocket is worth their weight in gold. Me, I go to the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Bar: click on the link to find your nearest one!

Did you know it’s National Lipstick Day?

It also happens to be Don’t Be a Dick Day, aka Wil Wheaton’s birthday…Continue Reading

Natural Isn’t Supernatural: Why ESP Isn’t Extrasensory

Natural Isn’t Supernatural: Why ESP Isn’t Extrasensory

crossroads-997123_640

When I was little, I wanted superpowers (who didn’t?). I was drawn to TV shows that were science fiction/fantasy, shows like The Tomorrow People (the Nickelodeon import from the UK version) in which the teenagers would teleport and read each other’s minds. Movies like Escape to Witch Mountain with the twin brother and sister that ended up being telekinetic and telepathic aliens. And don’t even get me started on the classic 80s movie Teen Witch, starring Blake Lively’s older sister, Robyn (did you know that?).

But I’ve come to find that those supernatural powers out of sci/fi and fantasy turn out to not be so supernatural at all… That our “sixth sense”, known as being psychic or intuition, is in fact very natural after all. And my childhood self would be delighted to discover some of those superpowers I always wanted as a child I have come to practice and fine-tune as an adult, professionally as a tarot reader and personally.Continue Reading

How to Read Tarot Outside

How to Read Tarot Outside

I’ve read tarot outside in a cemetery. I’ve read tarot outside on a busy street corner during third Friday or for street fairs. I’ve read tarot outside of a public library when they realized we were using their “conference room” as a free meeting place for doing tarot sessions. I’ve read tarot in a public park, sitting on a park bench.

Each time I’ve had to contend with the blowing wind and with denizens of nature such as mosquitoes and ants. It was not an uncommon thing for me to be deep into a reading with someone and then yell “Oh SHIT!” as the wind picked up and the cards went a’flying.

But things like that shouldn’t stop you from taking your tarot cards outside! Here’s how to do it without damaging or losing a single precious card.Continue Reading
